Electoral Disputes Resolution – EDR

This project aims to study the process of the resolution of the disputes resulting from the whole electoral process, that is, at the three phases of the electoral process,
Phase 1: During the preparation for elections, before the elections day.
Phase 2: During the elections day
Phase 3: After the elections day 

The project will provide recommendation to improve the disputes resolution procedures in Lebanon in comparison with the other countries.

The project includes the following activities:

1. Study: The project will produce a study that analyze the disputes which result at the three phases of the electoral in comparison with the international best practices. 
2. National workshop: Organizing a one day national workshop for a group of MPs and Lebanese Judges and Lawyers to discuss the current procedure resolving the electoral disputes during the phases of the electoral process.
3. Publication: LFPCP will produce a publication at the end of the project compiling the different lectures, papers, interventions, and discussions


This project is funded by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung for a period of 12 months (2017).
